Clearly, learning and practicing 50-100 words and phrases will not make you fluent in any language. We are sure you know that!
For those of you who want to learn and practice more than the “essentials”, we’ll add other language learning sites and apps, that we have used or are currently using ourselves. We may include links to such site reviews we posted in our first language learning site, Gamesforlanguage.com (see below)
COMPLETELY FREE LANGUAGE LEARNING SITES AND APPS
Gamesforlanguage is our initial language learning site and completely free, without any ads. Our current languages are French, German, Italian and Spanish for English speakers, as well as several Spanish lessons for English speakers. The travel story courses use interactive games as key teaching tools. In addition to the lessons , the site offers 2-3 minute Quick Language games as well as blog posts about language learning, history and culture.
LingoHut is a completely free, foreign language learning website available in over 50 different languages! LingoHut’s passion is to help volunteers, tourists, teachers, students, shopkeepers and newly displaced people succeed socially, intellectually and economically by teaching basic communication skills to be comfortable in a new culture.
FEE-BASED LANGUAGE LEARNING SITES AND APPS
Typically, the language learning sites and apps listed below also have free lessons. But if you are really serious about learning and practicing a new language, the free lessons won’t be enough.
